Cold but dry, sunny conditions greeted riders this morning for our shortest race of the season.
In the A field, Chris Strumolo (Dave Jordan Racing) won after a large break got away from the field. Evan Murphy (Foundation) took second after bridging up to the break and Abraham Soler (Foundation) was third. Murphy cemented his early lead in the Jim Boyd Competition and is looking forward to wearing the pink leader’s jersey presented by SixCycle and ChampionSystem at the next club race.
In the Women’s race, BrittLee Bowman (Stans NoTubes p/b EnduranceWerx) took her second win in a row ahead of Meredith Uhl (Rockstar Games/Signature Cycles) and Jaqueline Parker (Radical Media). BrittLee will also be donning the SixCycle leader’s jersey next time out.
In the B Race, a break also stayed away and Rob Weitzner (Foundation) beat Jamieson Ogg (Cause & Effect) and Lucas VanDrunnen (Siggi’s/NYVelocity) in the final sprint.
In the Master’s Race, Matt Seaton (Rapha Racing) took yet another win in a great start to his 2013 season – proving he can win in a break and in a sprint in front of Pascal Sauvayre (BH/Comedy Central) and Thomas Pennell (Blue Ribbon – Translations)
The C field ended in a field sprint with David DeSimone (Foundation) pulling ahead of Billy Wherley (Setanta) and an unidentified Foundation rider (who needs lessons on how to pin a number…..)
