It was a wet morning in Central Park for the Master’s Throwdown. Preliminary results follow, full results will be uploaded later today.
In the Men’s 40+ Dave Taylor (CRCA / Eumaeus Asset Mgmt – Fuoriclasse) nipped Greg Olsen (ChampSys p/b Stan’s NoTubes/CRCA) at the line out of a three man break that also included Lawrence Uhrlass (CRCA/Bicycle Planet Racing). Karl Rahn (Stan’s NoTubes / AXA Equitable) won the field sprint ahead of Mihael Ginghina (CRCA/TARGETRAINING Tri & Cycle)
In the Men’s 50+ a four man breakaway ruled the day with Rob Weitzner (CRCA/Foundation) outsprinting Thomas Luzio (Deno’s Wonder Wheel), Pascal Sauvayre (CRCA/BH-Comedy Central) and David Carr (CRCA\Setanta). The 60+ winner was Bill Anderson (CRCA / FGX Racing).
In the Women’s 4 Series presented by Bike Doctor NYC Barb Blakley (CRCA/Inntervation) won in a break. The field sprint was marred by a crash but won by Cynthia Lo (CRCA/Innervation) followed by Judith Hallwood (mineola bike club).
The Men’s 35+ field was neutralized due to the crash in the Women’s 4 field.
