Fuoriclasse Racing team headed up to Canada this past weekend to represent CRCA at the Coupes des Ameriques, the “North American Master’s Road Championship.” The team put in a good showing with David Taylor winning the road race and taking second in the GC for the men’s A field.
It was a weekend of intensive racing with four stages (hill climb prologue, tt, crit and road race) packed into 40 hours.
In spite of being caught in a crash in the crit, and flatting in the road race, Colleen Conway managed a 6th in the GC for the women’s 40+ field, with ComedyCentral’s Sarah Sauvayre taking the GC win. Fuoriclasse’s newest teammate, Laura Lee Vo, made a surprise appearance on Saturday morning to join the race. Although she could not compete for the GC, her powerful climbing soon put the hurt on the women’s field.
