Colin Prensky got off to a good start at the Elite National Track Championships with a 9th place overall finish in the International Omnium.
Despite having to struggle to fit training sessions within a very heavy third year medical school schedule, Colin turned in some fantastic performances. Riding against the top track riders in the US, he finished fifth in the Kilo and sixth in the 250 TT. He also had never ridden before on a 250 meter track with it’s steep banking.

On Day 2, Colin finished tenth in the 1000 meter TT. Gideon Massie’s 1:02:8 blew away the competition. Taylor Phinney was second in 1:04.4. Colin’s time of 1:08.80 was a fraction of a second slower than his effort in the International Omnium.

He also rode with Kahala LaGrange in the team pursuit.

Also on Day 2, Kim Geist who finished second in the Nancy Morgenstern Memorial women’s race, was part of an American record breaking team in the team pursuit. She rode with Sarah Hammer and Dotsie Bausch.
