Club member Pam Shannon unexpectedly passed away last week. There will be a memorial service in her honor on Wednesday, December 30th at 6pm in the chantry of Grace Church, located at 802 Broadway, at the corner of 10th Street.
Pam generously supported the club with her time volunteering for duties that ranged from providing regular support to the race staff for the Park races, to spending the entire day at Bear Mountain doing whatever was necessary to ensure the marshaling went smoothly and safely.
Pam was a member of team Organic Athlete. Her brother, Jonathan Shannon, also a club member and member of the Organic Athlete team, has set up a fund in Pam’s honor with the ASPCA in order to support what was dear to her: animal welfare and compassion toward all living things.
