The monthly meeting of the Board of Directors of the Century Road Club Association was held on Monday, October 1st, 2007 commencing at 6:30 pm at a restaurant in Midtown. Board members Ben Harris, Tony Slokar, Wendy Nickerson, Wendy Cohen, Martha Lees, Craig Abrams, Tom Laskey, Christopher Uglietta, and Matt Howard were present.
The time, date, and location of the next meeting will be at 6:30pm on Monday, November 5th at the offices of W.P. Carey.
The minutes of the September Board meeting were approved.
The Board discussed the upcoming elections for the 2008 Board of Director positions. The current board members will soon announce whether or not they’re running for 2008, and will also provide a write-up of their position’s du-ties, which will be posted for the membership.
A brief discussion about the possible need to re-organize some of the The Board of Directors positions and duties also ensued, but it was agreed to table the conversation until the November meeting at which time more information will be available.
The Board voted to hold a Club race on October 14th only if the required marshals are confirmed before October 5th. The race will count towards the Team Cup and Boyd points.
