The board held a short discussion regarding the biodegradable dog poop bags that the club may produce and dis-tribute to park users and organizations. In an effort to maintain positive relations with dog owners, bags would be printed with a short, respectful message about sharing the park and dog safety. The New York Road Runners have expressed an interest in helping to distribute bags if common language/messaging is used. The board is reaching out to other organizations as well.
The board voted that the Director of Open Racing should have petty cash on hand at the Mengoni GP in order to pay the motos, etc.
The board held a short discussion regarding the need for more race-day support for the Director of Open Racing. The club is ideally seeking an interested person who can help with race-day organization and coordination with officials, motos, etc. Wendy Cohen will contact the team captains.
The board unanimously voted to suspend Pablo Castro for one race due to his public urination in the bushes near the CP start line, as well a physical incident that occurred during a race.
Christopher Uglietta updated the board on his efforts to establish a CRCA-promoted cyclocross race. He is inves-tigating venues and is in contact with the Kissena club.
The board voted to gift the club’s un-needed mini TV and TiVO to Alan Atwood for his continuing service to the racing community.
At approximately 8:00 pm the meeting adjourned.
