Foundation team members distributed food to over 200 families in need in Brooklyn

CRCA members from the Foundation team team (and a spouse or two) recently helped City Harvest distribute food to those in need at one of their Mobile Markets.  Team members served fresh apples, cabbage, onions and sweet potatoes to local families in Brooklyn on a cold November morning.  More than 200 families were provided with much needed fresh vegetables.

Foundation is also running a virtual food drive over the holiday period, raising money for City Harvest to help feed the hungry this holiday season.  If you would like to donate, please visit http://www.cityharvest.org/foundation.

The Foundation team, lead by Ric and Jill Wolf, also recently helped raise over $25,000 for the New York Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association as part of the annual Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  The Foundation team along with Ric and Jill Wolf have been one of the major contributors to this fund raising effort and this year were again one of the top fund raising teams.  Over 6 years they have raised over $140,000.

The mission of the Alzheimer’s Association, New York City Chapter is to create and promote comprehensive and humane care for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders, to provide support for their families and professional caregivers, and to eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research.
