The 2010 board was elected with 49 people casting ballots.
In 2010 we have some exciting new opportunities to work with the Central Park Conservancy on a summer youth cycling program and on a bicycle saftey program. The success of these opportunities depends on member volunteers. More info will be coming.
While the 2010 board is not seated until January, we want to get the year off to a fast start. On Thursday November 19 the incoming VP of Club Racing David Bowen and I met with the Dept. of Parks to plan the 2010 Central Park racing schedule. The schedule will be similar to 2009. One change is with nod towards club history, we are bringing back the Turkey Race. It is scheduled for Nov. 20, 2010.
The tentative date for the 2010 Bear Mountain Spring Classic is Saturday May 15. This is the week after Mother’s Day.
